The Department of General Surgery is headed by a full time qualified and experienced general and laparoscopic surgeon, and on call urologist, two other surgeons.

The Department provides 24 hours emergency surgical cover. Elective, major and minor cases are being done on OPD basis, day care basis and in hospital admissions are done as required.

The Department is well supported by a well equipped Radiology Department and Pathology laboratory, which can organize blood transfusions.

The Operation Theatre possesses advanced facilities such as a fully equipped set up for advanced laparoscopic surgeries. The hospital has an ICU backup for major surgeries ventilators and 24 hour monitoring staff, anaesthetist and all facilities for comprehensive care.

The department also holds regular CMEs, Clinicopathological meets and publish patient friendly articles in the local newspaper.

Our full time surgeon Dr. Ajay Gupta is a well qualified and experienced general and laparoscopic surgeon with over 8 years experience in General Surgery in various capacities. He has done his training in India. He has experience in Laparoscopic surgery, oncosurgery breast surgery He is also a certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider and Basic Life Support Provider. He has taken training for basic upper GI and Lower GI endoscopy. He has worked in major tertiary care hospitals in India.
