Dr. Balwant Singh's Hospital Laboratory is First Laboratory in Guyana to be certified by Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS).

Located on the hospital's ground floor, the lab is open 24 hours all 7 days a week.

Under the direction of  Dr. Amrish Kamboj, MD Pathology, the laboratory staff of laboratory technicians and medical technologists performs comprehensive blood and body fluid testing to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of diseases and conditions, including anemia, myocardial injuries, diabetes and cancer.

Staff Members include  Quality Manager & Chief Medical Technologist (Omeshwarie Singh), Medical Technologists (Valarie Thompson, Lecette Whittaker, Fadeeaha Sultan,  Kulwantie Deochand), Medical Technicians ( Churamati Bnisingh, Althberta Langevine, Colleen Alexander,  Ronica Carmichael), &  Suklakshanna Dudnauth (Computer Operator)
